> Event Schedule:
8:00 AM: Meet at Chamonix Nest (218 Avenue de l'Aiguille du Midi) for a welcome coffee, a briefing by our team of high-mountain guides, and equipment setup and check.
9:00 AM: Shuttle departure to Planpraz cable car.
5:00 PM: Return to Chamonix Nest.
> Registration for this event includes:
1. Supervision by two high-mountain guides.
2. Shuttle transportation to the ski lifts from Chamonix Nest.
3. Shuttle return to Chamonix Nest.
4. blackcrows equipment testing (skis and climbing skins). You must still bring your own equipment as a backup.
> Registration for this event does not include:
1. The necessary gear for the tour (see "Required Equipment" below).
2. Water and food for the day.
3. The ski pass for the lifts used. Be sure to purchase it in advance to avoid waiting on the day of the event. For this outing, the Chamonix Le Pass is required. Available at the ticket counter or online.
> Ski Touring Tour
The planned itinerary includes a crampon-aided ascent and a total of approximately 1,000m of elevation gain on skis, translating to about 4 hours of hiking. The descent will be off-piste skiing on various snow conditions.
> Prerequisites for Participation:
1. Ski touring experience and fitness level:
- Regular or occasional ski touring practice (10 tours per year).
- Ability to ascend for 3 hours at a pace of 300 m/h without difficulty.
- Strong skiing ability: descending on all types of snow (powder, tracked snow, hard snow) and terrain (steep, rolling, bumpy, couloir).
2. Equipment proficiency:
- Ability to use climbing skins and low-tech bindings, smoothly managing transitions between ascent and descent independently.
- Ability to use an avalanche transceiver.
- Ability to put on and remove crampons smoothly and independently.
3. Required Equipment:
- High-mountain ski gear: crampons, harness, light ice axe.
- Complete ski touring equipment: skis (even if you plan to test blackcrows), climbing skins, backpack with ski carry system, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, ski boots with low-tech inserts and walk mode, poles.
- Ski touring apparel: hard shell jacket and pants, merino base layer, breathable mid-layer, compact insulated down jacket, two pairs of gloves, sunglasses, ski goggles, beanie, helmet (recommended). Expected temperatures range from -10°C to +10°C.
- Food and hydration: water bottle and energy bars/snacks.

During this tour, you can try one of the 7 models from our Freebird range. The skis will be equipped with low-tech touring bindings and climbing skins, available for you to use throughout the day.
